Ellie Assessments is a cutting-edge digital platform powered by advanced transformer AI models, specifically trained on educational language to deeply analyse learner submissions. By evaluating semantic alignment with learning outcomes, command verb intent, and overall academic quality, it provides educators with precise insights into the depth and relevance of student work.
The AI scans and analyzes the content to align it with predefined learning outcomes and assessment criteria. The system flags each response as “Met,” “Partially Met,” or “Not Met” based on the depth, intent, and relevance of the learner’s answers, while generating editable feedback suggestions to support assessors in providing structured, trackable insights.
To provide feedback on learner assignments, simply Ctrl+Click on any part of the text. This action opens a comment cloud where you can input detailed narrative feedback and link it to specific Learning Outcomes (LOs) or Assessment Criteria (ACs). These comments are automatically saved, ensuring no feedback is lost. To navigate quickly to any feedback, use the circle indicator next to the relevant learning outcome at the top of the page. If you need to adjust the feedback or judgement, click the colored pill beside the learning outcome. Once all feedback is finalised, export a comprehensive report in PDF format using the Feedback Report button located at the bottom of the window.
